First National's charitable trust "First National Charitable Foundation" was established in June 2009 and registered as a charitable organisation. The Foundation consolidates the philanthropic efforts of member offices for the purposes of providing for the advancement of education, and any other activities, for the benefit of communities within New Zealand. The Foundation tangibly demonstrates First National Real Estate's commitment to the community.
Through the Foundation, First National's 60 + offices around New Zealand are able to provide significant benefits in support of various educational and humanitarian works in New Zealand.
"Keeping you connected"
In 2012 we were proud to announce the launch of the Foundations partnership with National Burn Centre. This is a Nationwide sponsorship which services and reaches the entire country. We are the primary sponsor of the National Burn Centre.
The relationship with the National Burn Centre involves providing iPads and connectivity to the victims of burns that are separated from their families for weeks and sometimes months which will assist in the healing process. Our on-going support will ensure patients can stay connected with their family and friends while undergoing treatment.
In 2013 we proudly supplied the National Burn Centre with 11 digital TVs to ensure each patient could continue to watch TV when the digital switch-over happened. The increase in TVs from 2 to 11 means those patients in isolation could have a TV in their room, and not be limited to just the 2 TVs in the patient lounge areas.
